My intro into partner dancing was in salsa when I was in graduate school at the University of Arizona. I was looking for an outlet for my stress and it happened that a friend of mine was going to a salsa party and invited me to go. I went and fell in love with the dance. I loved everything about it, the people, the rhythm, the dynamics of all the moves intertwined with one another. I started taking lessons to become a more proficient and advanced dancer.

I was first introduced to West Coast Swing when I was 13 years old. At the time my mom was just starting to get into country dancing and decided to hire a teacher to come to our house and give lessons to her and a couple of her friends.
It wasn’t long before my younger sister Kelly got involved and they were both attending weekly dances together. The obvious next step was to try and get me involved
